Dragoș-Cătălin BARBU is a PhD candidate at the University of Economic Studies in Bucharest, he graduated from the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science at the University of Bucharest and holds a master's degree in the field of Theoretical Informatics from the Department of Computer Science, the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science, the University of Bucharest. He is the Head of the “Cloud Computing” Department and a Senior Researcher III within the National Institute for Research and Development in Informatics – ICI Bucharest.  Dragoș-Cătălin Barbu has been carrying out research activity in the ICT field for over 17 years, coordinating national projects in the field of “Cloud Computing”, computer security, electronic services, digital libraries, artificial intelligence and augmented reality. He is the Romanian Substitute Representative in the Governing Board of European High Performance Computing Joint Undertaking (EuroHPC) and also the Romanian substitute delegate in the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) Association. Moreover, he participated in the implementation of more than 30 national projects, 10 international projects.
